2026-02-09 11:40:49 +0000 UTC"A pleasure to meet the Colony’s most reputable general. I’ve been eager to meet the sister responsible for consuming the entire resource generation of our family." Clearly Solant has been training her burn resistance.

2026-02-09 10:48:24 +0000 UTCYeah and the projects she could have funded would all pale compared to actually cleansing an entire stratum. So it's a lot of ressources but towards the best possible goal anyway.

2026-02-09 08:15:00 +0000 UTCWhy has merchant no entourage jet? Every champion has one.

2026-02-09 07:39:39 +0000 UTCLooks like both champions have blinders on. Sure, Solant is obviously ignoring the economic aspect of the war. But Merchant is unacceptably ignorant of the strategic picture of why the war was necessary to begin with. Yes, it's an inhumanly expensive war, but the cost of not waging it is even worse.

2026-02-09 07:12:51 +0000 UTCHonestly the little side stories with the side characters are honestly my favourite parts. I really enjoy how well fleshed out the world is because of the little stories you ad.

2026-02-09 06:16:31 +0000 UTCHasn't Leeroy became a immortal fungi zombie like that virus from Last of us. Cordycep something.

2026-02-09 04:51:50 +0000 UTCWhy cold forge? Shape it and the introduce the fungus.

2026-02-09 04:24:16 +0000 UTCHahaha I like the little rivalry between the two of them. Once merchant and Solant team up… with economics, logistics and strategy all locked down… any place can be conquered.

2026-02-09 03:39:51 +0000 UTCI can’t wait for Merchant to find an incredible resource and goes to Solant and be like “hey how much money and help do you need from allies? The answer to your request is yes”

2026-02-09 03:12:48 +0000 UTCoh yeah lets get to some cold forging Smithant. Here we go Merchant is about to show Solant how to make a war profitable.

2026-02-09 02:04:52 +0000 UTCI was wondering if it could be used to infect already-worked metals to make them even stronger. For all we know, that metal-fungus-bacteria hybrid could be the basis for the more advanced Legionaire Armors that they forgot how to forge new examples of.

2026-02-09 02:03:28 +0000 UTCDon't that metal could be a simbionte to the Golgaris?,I mean they have to use a metal to form they second skin and The richest have the rarest metal's, it's could perhaps be used like a venom (Even though that thinking more about it it's more like the infected in the last of us)

2026-02-09 01:55:05 +0000 UTCWonder what sort of treasures and trinkets they have. Probably a couple things that improve health, some that increase skin quality, maybe a symbiotic fungus that can strengthen monsters, maybe even some sort of growing biomass that is easily extractable. Idk, for all I know there is some sort of organic mana compound similar to blood (think of blood as plasma rich in many nutrients and chemicals with unique properties) that can be harvested. Maybe even some sort of flesh golem or puppet can be made, or organic buildings (think of a mimic, now imagine it’s 100x the size of a chest. Actually no, 1000 the size. Now you have a storage system that will kill intruders and help you prepare supplies for transport. It can also trap spies and act as a sensory system (instead of mimics think of living rooms which is why I brought up mimics).

2026-02-09 01:43:28 +0000 UTCInteresting the metal fungus could be attached to things meant to be disposable that is sold to outside powers, it'll have a shelf life as the fungus slowly eats it but also if you remove the fungus it also breaks it. A really nasty form of planned obsolescence.

2026-02-09 01:41:11 +0000 UTCThe perfect capitalist and the perfect war machine. Industrialised invasion and profit. Glad I am not someone Merchant wishes to negotiate with
