You are forgetting that it isn't a flat range, but thousands of kilometres in both length and depth. 1000 km up and down (and to the side) is wayyyyy bigger than you assume.

(The prerequisites to elemental are t4 fire water wind and earth spells right? Why don’t the ants try doing this, other than the ants not liking getting special attention? Won’t their skills level up super fast when training against higher tier ants? Just have a bunch of t2s train against t3s, then t4s, then t5s in tunnel ball or smth
