Cowgirl fans: We need to talk...
Added 2026-01-25 17:34:19 +0000 UTCHey guys, I know the most recent pages of Cowgirl experience have caused a little discomfort for some people.
However it is frustrating and disheartening to see the lack of trust in my storytelling at this point in Yass' journey (50 pages already). It also hurts to see all the work we've put in get some of the responses it has.
There have always been twists in this story, and you guys have enjoyed them. Why do you think this will be different? It's going to get better, I promise.
Going forward, all I ask is to be considerate of the work that goes into these pages, and trust that I have both yours, and Yass, and Azu's and all the characters I draw's best interests at heart.

Please don't change anything. This is seriously some of the best BDSM-related art/comic I think I've ever seen. It's on such a great and exciting arc of the story I'd hate to see it ruined by negative feedback :(

I hope that by calling this out, the folks out there can better manage their expectations AND their entitled behavior. I know what it's like to have their work criticized in a way where they behave like they have the full authority over your work. It's classic entitled online behavior. You're a strong person, Issa. I know you'll be able to continue and move on despite what happened. But for your sake too, I hope these people also learn to behave and keep their emotions in-check. The real fans and friends are here for you~

You even posted a bad end alternative you were considering and made it clear this is not the direction you're taking, so why would it suddenly go that way now? Makes no sense. Suspense is the bread and butter of good storytelling.

I know a lot of work goes into them, and you're very good at what you do - the results show it. I am sorry that some people, including myself on occasion, have placed less faith in you and your writing than you have proven you deserve.

Regarding the character development, you mentioned a while ago that you loved the characters so much that it led you to change your initial, more extreme idea. Originally, the girls were broken on that farm, but you decided to make the story more lighthearted because the initial narrative didn't fit the characters' personalities; they were too kind to do that, and you only wanted the best for them.

I'm so sorry that you've had to deal with those sort of comments. I think the Cowgirl comic has been fantastic, and though I am wondering how Yass is going to get out of this situation, I'm fully confident that you're cooking up a satisfying conclusion to the story. Don't let the haters get to you, Issa! You're awesome, and you're doing an awesome job. I'm looking forward to the next part!
