2026-01-09 20:06:58 +0000 UTCSide note - there's a four episode miniseries called Lambs of God starring Sam about a rouge temple of nuns far outside of civilization met with a modern (in the 90s) priest played by Sam, and it's SUCH a beautiful, impactful little series. It's definitely not the most accessible to find in mainstream ways, but if you can find it, watch it, even off stream just for you. It's beautiful and has this level of acting and storytelling.

And if there was an award for Excellence in Crying in Men's Acting, Sam Reid would win every single time. He's just. So good at crying so beautifully and realistically. I hope this director gets brought into The Vamp Lestat, because she did a couple of IWTV eps and has a HANDLE on this man, and an impeccable handle on engaging drama with moments that feel extremely grounded in reality.

Seeing them both so vulnerable and loving towards each other is completely disarming. They are brilliant actors, as you said and I can't believe this show was so short, I needed 10 seasons of these two. Also, Noelene and Rob are so cute! I love a morally grey character with great arc, and you can see Rob has a good heart, it's just he is ignorant in some topics, as many are! I truly enjoyed seeing this show again with you, it helped me a lot to cope with some things at the moment. Thank you Taco! I can't wait for the next season! ๐นโ๏ธ

2025-12-13 22:02:12 +0000 UTCEvelyn and Geoff are horrible people. Just horrible. Both of them. Since the very start. Sorry, if that sounds harsh but I hated both of them straight away. I don't know if you missed it but Geoff asked Adam what he should refer to him as - "companion? friend?", and Adam says "lover". But of course when Geoff introduces him he calls him his companion. And then Russ makes a point of calling him his lover. I don't think Evelyn really cares about Geoff that much either, I always just feel like she's calculating and manipulating to make everything work out best for her. I think you also misunderstood the bit where the sound guy said "It's his last day. He quit". He was referring to Tim and not Geoff. Tim quit. Which is so sad. You gotta love Rob and Noelene. Rob is just a lovable goofball who puts his foot in it a lot but doesn't really mean any harm. Anyway, can't wait for season 2! Please tell Frank to get on this one! I bet he'd love it too :)

2025-12-04 13:12:17 +0000 UTCI'm realizing on the 2nd watch that because Dale wasn't specific about what happened with Tim (a kiss), Helen is thinking they had sex. While Helen is educated about AIDS and knows facts about its transmission, she doesn't know if Tim/Dale might have put her at risk by not using protection. I originally read it as anger at being cheated on. It's that PLUS her thinking he may have put her health in jeopardy. Is that how everyone else interprets this?
