Coming soon: Lens for PlayTracker Insight - a new feature for in-depth market analysis
Added 2020-09-27 18:06:38 +0000 UTCAs PlayTracker Insight (and in turn this Patreon) grew we knew we had to expand functionality to meet the more specific market analysis needs of many of our patrons. This is why we are happy to announce that Lens, a new feature for PlayTracker Insight is coming soon for Legendary tier patrons, replacing the underutilized "custom article" benefit.
Lens will allow users to select their own conditions and create a filter that will target a specific audience (i.e. Croatian players that mostly play on Steam). Once this "Lens" is applied, any Insight game pages visited will contain data and graphs for that specific audience (with some general data for context). Our intention is for this to allow for insight into more specific audiences and player habits, which we hope will be useful to game developers and data enthusiasts alike. It replicates the same interesting data we've been able to utilize for our reasonably popular Insight articles.
The main reason we are announcing this feature ahead of launch is because we want to add more options to our Lens creation tool. If you have any ideas about filters you'd find useful to narrow down a specific audience you care about, please let us know via any of our social channels.
In preparation for this change, we've cleaned up our Patreon support tiers and benefits. Aside from this new feature everything else is the same - we've just shortened it a bit and brought it up to speed with the latest options on Patreon relating to stuff like sales tax.
