Unprecedented Times...

Hey all,  

I hope everybody's doing well and staying safe and healthy with this whole covid-19 situation.  We're just beginning to see the effects of the pandemic here in Canada as businesses begin to drastically alter their operations and more and more of us work from home.  For my colleagues and I, life hasn't been altered too much since we are generally solitary creatures anyways and we have the luxury of working wherever we please.  My thoughts are with those of you who may have to deal with some struggles until we can all settle in a new rhythm of life for a while.

In times like these, we have to stick together and do our part to help one another even if doing our part means just staying home and reading comics!  Would love to hear how you all are doing and how you are coping with the pandemic.

I was going to announce Oscar's return in a more official capacity later when I have more work done, but given recent events I'm just going to open this development blog to everybody since most people will have more time to kill these days.  Maybe news of Oscar's return will brighten somebody's day!

Anyhoo, on to actual comic stuff.

Since alot of Oscar' s next story involves him getting from one place to another, the vehicle he is transported is pretty important and almost needs to be treated with the same importance as another character.  After toying with the idea of the vehicle being an old convertible (something that all seems appropriate), I settled on the idea of a motorcycle with a sidecar based on the russian designed Ural motorcycle.  A motorcycle with a sidecar is always such a fun visual and something about it seems very Oscar-like.  

I think the design still needs to be tweaked a bit, (perhaps the band's logo will be eblazoned on the sidecar instead of that star), but I think this is what I'm going to stick with.  

Next on the task list is to work on Oscar's side of the story!  What the heck is his part in this story?
