Social Update - activity feed

Keep up with what your friends are playing with a brand new homepage for PlayTracker Social!

The activity feed displays for all logged in users on the homepage of PlayTracker, and features your recent (2 weeks) stats, a leaderboard of trending games among friends, and the main attraction - a feed of the following relevant friend activity:

• games friends have been playing
• recently earned achievements
• recently completed challenges on PlayTracker Quest
• recent level-ups on PlayTracker
• users friends have followed recently

The page will display 10 events at first to improve initial page load time, but you can load up to 100 more by clicking a button at the bottom of the feed. The feed is arranged chronologically with no exceptions and divided by date (GMT). There are certain limitations in place to improve the quality of the feed, for example there is a max 5 recently played games per friend and a max 100 recent achievements per friend, so don't worry about card farming or achievement hunting clogging up your friends' feed. As is the case with all of PlayTracker, special care has been taken to make the mobile version fully featured and a pleasure to use.

This feature has been in the works for a long time and included several new tech solutions that can be reused in future development. It is one of three major updates that I have been developing simultaneously, with the other two being automatic Origin sync and enhanced support for long-term games like Guild Wars and Destiny. These are coming along nicely and should be shipping soon. After they do, I will open a discussion thread to determine development priorities for the rest of the year where your feedback will be very important.
