Cry Havoc 2.0, the canonical version of the novel, is now uploaded in its entirety on writing.dog. If you are a subscriber, you should be able to access all of the additional commentary, totalling in the end 21,142 words of translation, commentary, and explanation for what in God's name I was thinking.

Compared to the SF version, 2.0 includes 5,000 words of new content, split across three scenes. The final of those introduces the character of Corinna Benjamin, who would go on to be a major character in Steel and Fire and Stone and a minor one in The Mighty Wind Arises. I intended Corinna to be established before I started writing Steel and Fire and Stone; I posted the first chapter of that novel in December, 2012. To give you a sense of how long this rewrite has been underway.

But it's done now, which also means I probably don't have an excuse to put off launching this Patreon for real. Thank you for your support so far, and I hope it's been worth it!

In other, more minor news, I've refactored the old Hatikvahmaps to use the new engine, which also means the animations have been rebuilt and should work again. Animations are kind of ugly and a bit of a hack, so if you want to make your own ping me and I'll help you with how they work. (The second one is incomplete and a little buggy. But you should be able to get the general idea)
