What am I even working on currently

A semi-quick update as I’m working on more projects now. Of course, the big Amidst the Sky themed platformer for Steam (let's call it Project Amidst from now on) is still very much in development. This is something I’ll constantly be working on, and it’s still a long way from being finished. Will do a separate post on that sometime. Aside from that I’m also working on some smaller projects, here are three I really want to finish:

A while back I started working on a shmup, which will be very loosely based on Stone Cataclysm (the first game I ever decided to release to a broad public, it’s not great...). I hope that I have a better grasp on the genre now, but even if that’s not the case I think shmups are really fun to work on. I’m considering releasing the first 1 or 2 levels when they’re done in order to garner more feedback. I also think it's a good idea to release something "smaller" to Steam before Project Amidst. This shmup is a very good candidate.

I originally had a horror-themed platformer planned for this halloween, but that’s not gonna happen this year. Since it would’ve been a browser game, I wanted to keep it short and simple. However, since Steam seems like a better option these days, using all the ideas I originally had for it should be pretty cool. That’d mean the game, which is mostly finished, would become just the tutorial area.

Been making mockups and writing down a lot of ideas for a big RPG lately. This one I’ve been planning for a long time, and it’s gonna be a while still before I’ll actually start that one. Kind of just wanted to foreshadow this one a bit here.

There are other projects I never finished, so don’t be surprised if there’s a sudden new (free, browser-based?) release at some point. There’s still the beginning of a Temple of the Four Serpents sequel lying around for example.
