"Agia" Flash Fiction Contest

Master Patrons can vote on entries to the Flash Fiction contest.
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ZLtqviQY9yizcsayJcg-5tvUYnZfP78C140ybaNpaZM/

The winner receives an uncreased poster of the cover of 'The Book of New Sun' omnibus signed by Don Maitz.

The winner will be announced this weekend in Chicago. The winner does not need to be in attendance to win.

Ultimately, Craig and I will choose but if there's an overwhelming choice among the Master Patrons, then we'll probably go with that. It'll help you can say why you chose a favorite. Try to make a vote by Thursday night.

Yes, you can vote for yourself.

Matthew, thank you for those kind words about "Protocol", you picked up exactly what I wanted to convey. This was my first follow through with submitting something I wrote.

I added a poll link to the doc. We kinda forgot that. ;)

Umm, vote here? I expected a poll at Google Docs, but this is completely fine. I expected more amateurish writing and was pleasantly surprised at the quality - and Wolfe-ishness - of all the entries. My runner-up choice is "Protocol" for its inventive, formalistic use of computer readout blended with Long Sun epiphany. Really fun to read! But my favorite is "Paracoita and Navigator," for the gruesome twist of horror inflicted on poor Thea, giving her an ending where the BOTNS is silent. Deliciously evil. But all the stories were excellent and it was difficult to make a selection.
