Terminology: all crochet terms used are U.S.
Technique Overlay Mosaic crochet bottom up and in the round.
Yarn: for example, Scheepjes Stone Washed
Yarn weight: Sport. Ball weight: 50 g, yarn length:130 m (142.17 yds).
Gauge: 10 stitches in 5cm (2”) by 5 rows in 5cm (2”) in dc stitch pattern.
Using a different gauge won’t affect the design, but it will change the finish size and the amount of yarn needed.
Hook 3.25 – 3.5 mm. Hook size needed to match the gauge.
Yardage approx. 3500 meters of Sport weight yarn for each of your two colors, of which 500 meters for the Back border (a total approx. of 7000 meters of yarn)
(3830 yards per colors, a total of 7660 yards of yarn)
Size: 150 cm by 150 cm (59 by 59 inches).
The use of other types of yarn can greatly affect the amount of yarn needed.
