A new Tixati version 3.17 has been posted, and a new Fopnu update is on the way too!

Over the past month, I've been working on upgrading the GUI framework that powers all four of my programs. This was long overdue.

On the Linux side, the move from GTK2 to GTK3 is nearly complete. This is a very important step, because some distros such as RHEL will be dropping support for GTK2 soon. Also, GTK3 has better support for high-DPI displays and a few other worth-while updates.

For Windows builds, the tree/list view common control that is used in many views has been replaced by a new custom control that works much much better, with less CPU usage, more predictable behavior, and smoother scrolling.

The first step was to release Tixati 3.17 with some important fixes from 3.16 and to make sure it is nice and stable. This happened last Saturday, and it appears that this has been successful. So far no major problems have been seen. The next step is to release a new version 1.61 of Fopnu later this week, with the brand-new GUI framework and new controls, and see how it goes. As soon as it appears to be stable I will roll these updates into Tixati, and then to DarkMX and SuperSimpleServer.
