We Put the World to Sleep exclusive updates

Here's the plan for We Put the World to Sleep: 

1. Creating a fist rough cut of about 5 to 7 hours (out of the 90 hours of footage we shot for the movie, plus archive footage, both personal & from other sources). I'm currently working on this all by myself. 

2. I'll be sharing that cut with Duru and use her feedback to bring it down to about 3 to 4 hours of essential footage. 

3. We'll be sharing that cut with the rest of the main team (investors, actors) and use their feedback to bring it down to about 2 hours. I'll be also finishing the colour correction and sound editing/mixing at this stage.

4. We'll be sharing that cut with the extended team (top Indiegogo & Patreon contributors, friends & trusted film professionals) and again with the main team and use all the feedback to bring it down to between 70 minutes and 115 minutes. Which should be the final cut to send to festivals and sales agents/distributors/critics. The goal is to shorten it as much as possible for commercial purposes (most people get bored at longer films, which is why distributors don't risk buying them), but without sacrificing the artistic quality which is important for top artsy festivals (top festival selections highly increase the chances of getting good distribution deals).

I've received these days two emails from an important arthouse distributor in France, they're very interested in buying the film and were asking for a screener. I told them I'm working on it and will send them as screener as soon as I have the final cut. 

There are also 3 important festivals who expressed early interest in the film: BIFFF (Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival), On Vous Ment! Mockumentary Film Festival and Nightmares Film Festival (please keep this info private). Of course, early interest doesn't mean automatic selection, they still have to watch the screener and decide, but it's definitely an advantage. BIFFF is the biggest out of these 3 and would be perfect for the Belgian premiere.
