Good thing I did because we stopped streaming shortly after due to my pregnancy and complications stemming from it and I hadn't played it in years. It was also a way for me to get a sense of how the guitar sounded and make any changes necessary. I completely messed up the bridge at first in this recording because I had changed the timing and feel of it, but I definitely like the effect of the switch to a half time.
The song is about the all too common situation we see in the criminal justice system. People with addiction and mental health issues are frequently stuck in a revolving door of in and out of custody because we have such limited supports for them.
