Here’s my dumb question for the night. Since the motor uses it’s own PSU, I assume you will need to provide 24VDC to the control board? I’m just being lazy and asking instead of looking up the specs on the board.

It seems that the 300-watt spindle is no longer available from the seller you used and as far as I can tell the only similar units are either way overpriced or use the power supply you warned against. The closest I can find from an Australian supplier is a 400-watt brushless unit: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/173606188665?_trkparms=aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20201210111314%26meid%3D598fbe53cdda478e9fddccdd12f093b1%26pid%3D101195%26rk%3D6%26rkt%3D12%26mehot%3Dco%26sd%3D202680736989%26itm%3D173606188665%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675%26algv%3DSimplAMLv9PairwiseUnbiasedWeb%26brand%3DVEVOR&_trksid=p2047675.c101195.m1851 I know you warned about using a 500-watt spindle but I was wondering if a 400 watt would be an acceptable alternative?
