Isayama is a genius & a Sadist , my friend. He gives us the triumphant return of Eren & our Scouts , but we have to watch them wage war & kill soldiers & civilians. Honestly, this is ONE of the toughest parts of the season. We’ve been rooting for our guys for 3 seasons & now we get thrust into the lives, hopes, & dreams of another people. It makes it that much harder. Something you said struck me. You said you “felt dumb for thinking Eren & Reiner could talk things out after he took his hand”. But I don’t think that’s dumb at all. I think that is exactly the lesson of the show. To be prepared to fight if you have to, but to always look & hope for a better way.
