Setup
- First download the app, then open the dmg file and drag cutenotch to the Applications folder.
- On some Macs, you might be prompted with "cutenotch is damaged and can't be opened." To undamage cutenotch, do the following:
- Open the terminal (open spotlight ⌘ + space, and search "terminal")
- Paste the text below into the terminal
xattr -cr "/Applications/cutenotch.app" - Press return or enter on your keyboard. After that you should be able to open the app.
- On your first time opening the app, enabling accessibility permission is a must.
- If you are having troubles, email cutenotchsoftware@gmail.com for assistance.
- Allow CuteNotch to use your preferred Music App, whether it be Apple Music or Spotify so that the media controls will work. When prompted, If you accidentally pressed deny, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Automation > cutenotch. Allow Spotify or Apple Music
- If you are having troubles, email cutenotchsoftware@gmail.com for assistance.
- Camera (for mirror) and Notification (for pomodoro timer) permission is optional.
- Go to settings at the top-left corner of the notch when enlarged, and enter your license key which can be found at the very top of this page.

2. Features
Pomodoro Clock
Play the timer and it will countdown from 25 minutes, once the timer comes to an end, it will notify you that it's break time. 5 minutes will be the break time and once over, the app will notify you once more saying it's "work time."
You can customize the length of "work time" and "break time" on settings by hour, minute and seconds.
Shortcut buttons
The button on the left with the monitor icon is for screenshotting and the button on the right with the circular icon allows you to have more options for screen capturing like recording.
Works Across All Displays
The cute notch will be on the current display where you open it.
Media Playback Controls
Compatible apps (Spotify, Apple Music).
Make sure to allow permission for cute notch to use Apple music or spotify, If you Accidentally deny, go to settings > Privacy & Security > Automation > cutenotch
Make sure to have the one you prefer installed on your mac.
Clicking on the play button when there is no music playing, the music title or image will open your preferred music app.
Built-in Mirror
Using the camera for quick appearance checks.
If you will be using this feature, please enable the app's permission to use the camera.
