Keeping Things Running
Added 2020-06-02 14:00:08 +0000 UTCHi everyone...long time!
First of all, I apologize for not being very active lately. I've gotten away from my bi-weekly posts and been pretty slow to respond to emails and community posts. I don't really beat myself up too much since beestat is just a fun side-project for me, but I want to be sure I'm continuing to give all my supporters and users a quality app!
The biggest issue lately has been disk space. I've probably had three instances where the 100GB database disk filled up because I wasn't watching it close enough. I missed some of my weekly maintenance where I go in and prune old data and check for issues. That's all cleaned up now...I spend a couple hours last week tweaking that process and increasing the disk capacity. I'm happy to report that we are now sitting at 66% capacity on a 120GB disk.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support the project. I still have lots of things I want to add and will probably begin to work on some of them slowly this summer. If you reached out to me for anything and I haven't gotten back with you, expect a reply sometime this week.

Appreciate the offer! Right now I'm using a 100% hosted solution, so while the hardware is relatively cheap I can't just buy a disk and shove it in a server. I'd love to run my own server but the redundancy and support is cheap and convenient. Here's more info on the infrastructure if you're interested: https://doc.beestat.io/40ba8b6514284b8cbda804d973b17bbf
