Sensor Giveaway...?

Hi everyone!

If you weren't aware, I was originally planning on giving away a sensor two-pack today. Unfortunately, it's been brought to my attention that this is against the Patreon TOS. This is basically because you are paying (Patreon) to win, which is considered gambling in many places.

I can still do giveaways, but they have to be structured differently. Basically, I can:

- Keep giveaways exclusive to Patrons but remove any random chance. I could pick the longest Patron who hasn't won, pick my favorite person, award by community vote, etc. Basically just anything other than drawing a name from a hat.

- Make giveaways available to everyone by allowing entries via Patreon subscription, Twitter follow, Reddit comment, etc. Anything that removes the cost to enter, although Patrons could be automatically entered.

What are your thoughts? I don't do giveaways that often, but I am looking into corporate sponsors as I'd love to do a monthly giveaway so I'd like to make sure I set this up correctly.

I'm sure you've come across Ko-Fi at some point (www.ko-fi.com) but it's definitely worth a mention. I don't care about "giveaways" so I want you to ultimately choose whichever option best supports the project and it's future. Patreon is also fine but I have no ties.

"My opinion is that the giveaways are a nice gesture but unnecessary." I second this, but I think making giveaways open to everyone, would help get more people aware of the project and possibly help drive more people to ultimately support the project.
