Patreon Changes

Hi all! This is more of an administrative note to inform you of some changes to the Patreon rewards. After surpassing $250 in pledges last month (thank you all!) I took another look at the tiers and noticed that they needed some work.

In summary, all three existing tiers have been combined into a single "Pay What You Want" tier with the following benefits:

★ Early access to new features
★ Patreon-only news feed
★ Giveaway eligibility
★ Private Discord membership
★ More frequent data syncing  

Why?

I ran a survey a couple weeks ago to determine what rewards were truly interesting to my users. The number one perk people wanted was early access to new features, which was originally in the $5 tier. I realized that this may be a barrier to entry for many potential supporters, so I decided to move it to the $1 tier. This left the $5 tier barren and nothing to fill the void.

With this moved and some of the uninteresting perks removed, the two remaining tiers looked pretty barren. Since I didn't want to fill up the tiers with fluff, I started looking at the "Pay What You Want" model. The more I thought it through, the more I liked it:

• It resonated well with my existing Patrons
• It's simpler to handle when creating content or fulfilling rewards
• It brings everyone together into one single community
• It feels more in-line with the beestat values

So starting today, this is the new model. I always want to do right by the people who support me, so I would love to hear your feedback.

Then I apologize! I believe I have fulfilled the perks of the current tiers to the best of my ability. If you feel otherwise, please reach out and I'll do what I can to make it right. I won't take offense if you downgrade or remove your pledge.
