Next month I want to start the process of mounting the engine and gearbox into the 110's chassis. This needs to be done properly and I don't want to use any 'off the shelf' engine mounts because we're using the BMW box and everything needs to be moved back 10cm.
In other news we managed to buy this decent bulkhead for £350 at the Malvern 4x4 Spares Day!
It's solid and a million miles away from the knackered original bulkhead. Once we have the engine, box and bulkhead in place on the chassis we can start mocking up the exciting stuff (turbo, intercooler and pipework)!
The big Garrett turbo's stuck in customs on the way to the Netherlands where it's being serviced. Meanwhile I'm researching how to keep these engines alive at >400hp, there are a few tricks and different parts to use to keep things from burning up - they're only making 177hp from factory!
