Release of "Never too late" and YOU can help us

today we want to tell you the release date of our new single "Never too late"! Although the song is already completely finished, we will release it on Youtube and all streaming platforms on September 18th. We would like to tell you briefly why we do this and how you can help us:

In order to get a song into an editorial playlist (very large playlists created by Spotify itself) you have to "pitch" a song first. This means that Spotify employees spend all day listening to thousands of songs and decide which songs they like and which they like less. The good songs are then added to the editorial playlists. But you have to give these people a lot of time to do this, because this increases the chance that you end up in such a big playlist. We have chosen 4 weeks lead time and therefore it will take a little while until the new song can be heard. So far only "Wanted and Wild" has made it into a big playlist (Heavy Queens with over 380.000 followers), but we hope that more songs will be added! :-) 

What we would like to ask you to do is to save the song into your library or playlist right now, because this also increases the chance that the song will make it into a good playlist.

heute möchten wir euch den Veröffentlichungstermin unserer neuen Single "Never too late" verraten! Obwohl der Song bereits komplett fertig ist, werden wir ihn erst am 18. September auf Youtube und allen Streaming Plattformen veröffentlichen. Wir möchten euch kurz erzählen warum wir das so machen und wie ihr uns helfen könnt:

Damit ein Song bei Spotify die Möglichkeit hat in eine Editorial Playlist (sehr große Playlists, die von Spotify selbst erstellt werden) zu kommen, muss man einen Song für Spotify erstmal "pitchen". Das heißt, dass Mitarbeiter von Spotify den ganzen Tag nichts anderes tun, als sich tausende Songs anzuhören und entscheiden welche Songs sie gut finden und welche weniger. Die guten Songs werden dann in die Editorial Playlists eingefügt. Dafür muss man diesen Menschen aber viel Zeit lassen, denn so erhöht sich die Chance um ein Vielfaches, dass man in so einer Playlist landet. Wir haben 4 Wochen Vorlaufzeit gewählt und deshalb dauert es noch ein bisschen, bis es den neuen Song zu hören gibt. Bisher hat es bei uns nur "Wanted and Wild" geschafft in eine große Playlist zu kommen (Heavy Queens mit über 380.000 Followern), aber wir hoffen natürlich, dass noch weitere Songs hinzukommen! :-) 

Worum wir euch aber seeeeehr sehr bitten würden, wäre, dass ihr euch den Song bereits jetzt in eure Library oder in eine Playlist speichert, denn das erhöht ebenfalls enorm die Chance, dass der Song in eine gute Playlist reinkommt.
