Dev Build Update: Power Rankings Part 1 (July 17th, 2025)

Hey everyone!

We're super excited to announce that we've finally added PR support to Smashers App!

The New Player Ranking Indicator

Player Rank Indicators (the little gold box next to player names) have been expanded to show state PRs and up. We use a combination of a prefix (ie: "EU #12") and color to distinguish rankings from one another.

This feature helps provide at-a-glance context into notable players who aren't on the global rankings. We will also make these available on a case by case basis for sub-state PRs that we find to be particularly significant (like NYC or Socal).

When a player is on multiple PRs, we show that player's ranking on their most prestigious PR. For example, a player who is ranked in both Spain and the EU will default to their EU ranking.

To see all the rankings a player is on (including local PRs), you can go to their player overview.

Plus, you can filter player and event pages based off of PRs!

How do I upload a PR?

For now, the PR uploader is on the dev website with limited access to Patrons. Once the build with PRs goes public later this month, the uploader will become public as well.

You can go to the #prs channel in our discord to get started.

What's left for rankings?

The major things are:

• A page where you can see all the PRs that are in the app and then view the players on each PR.

• User settings for switching your default PR settings for regions. For example, if you wanted to switch between the EUPR and the Lumirank EU.

Beyond that, we want to start integrating PRs into all the different stats views across the app. Some places that are top of mind are H2Hs, player overview report cards, and Smashers App Wrapped.

So what's next?

In the next week, we're aiming to launch:

• Broadcast stats overlays for patrons

• A new patreon build with the PRs page

And then the big thing will be launching the public FGC build + our rebrand by end of month!
