Seeding Tool Update: Custom Groups (Apr 3, 2025)

The seeding tool can now be used on any group of players. You no longer need to import entrants from an existing startgg event link. This means you can create and compare any group of players, such as your local scene's PR eligible players or the LumiRank top 50 players.
To create a group click the [New Group] button which will popup the creation dialog shown above. Make sure to choose the game you want to compare player stats for as you won't be able to edit it after saving the group.
The (+) button will popup a player search where you can add as many players as you'd like. Currently there isn't a way to add all the players in your top player groups so you'll need to select the group and add them one at a time. This will be improved this month. You can remove players by clicking them.
Like with seeding from startgg links you'll need to download the data from all the players you've added to your group. After that you'll be able to open the group and use the seeding tool as discussed in our previous seeding tool blog post.
What's next?
VODs! We've already released a dev build that added vods to event pages (also viewable on the dev website). You can look forward to another update very soon that brings them to player pages and other places in the app! When it goes live we'll have another post showing it off as well as the tool you can use to submit vods to the app yourself.
Seeding exporting as csvs and direct to your startgg events. Also probably a few new values you can use to sort players by.
This month we'll be announcing some upgrades to the Statistician and Organizer tiers!
