There’s two issues I see with Jane. 1. As far as I can tell, she’s taller than the average woman which optics wise likely takes her out of couples roles, her and Marcello work because they’re both sitting for the whole update piece, and she looks too young to play a mother character. The other is her specialty of being awkward, it plays well when solo like her songs, but like you said, it doesn’t work well in most sketches with others and it doesn’t differentiate her. I think it will depend how much other cast leaves and she’s kept for familiarity, but I hope she’s back.
