The Weekly Transformation 6/7/19
Added 2019-06-07 19:00:04 +0000 UTCDoing another just regular update this time!
Right now, as far as video stuff goes:
- Ultraman script is about 40% complete, looking to finish it up this week
- Agito script is 0% complete but I'm gonna go right ahead and write it as soon as I'm done with the Ultraman script so I can get a head start.
- I'm watching a lot more Sentai this week.
- In the next week or so, I'll likely get out ahead of things and start some video file conversion for the editing process.
- And finally, preparation will begin on a secret additional Explode When Defeated series, likely due out by the end of the year.
I saw King of the Monsters this week, and I decided not to do a short video on it, mainly due to the fact that'll probably be "officially" covered at some point in the future and at the moment I still don't have too much to say about it? It was pretty damn cool though! A couple issues here and there, with varying degrees of severity, but as far as american toku adaptions go, it's definitely one of the better ones in recent memory. Goddamn some of those fights...
Also in just personal news, I got my charger dilemma taken care of and that was awesome, and I finished up my playthroughs of Dragon Quest IV and Super Metroid! Both are wonderful games, cannot recommend em enough.
Actually, yknow what? I'll add some topical fun stuff here too. Just thought of something
NICKY AUSTIN'S E3 2019 PREDICTIONS
- Microsoft will detail the next Xbox, and it'll probably be pretty sick
- Halo: Infinite will probably be some kind of disappointing, bracing myself for a looter shooter in the style of Destiny or Anthem
- Jedi: Fallen Order will (hopefully) be tight as hell
- Outrun 2 confirmed for Xbox backwards compatibility (please)
- Watch Dogs: Legion will be the only thing Ubisoft shows me that even looks a little bit cool
- Doom: Eternal is going to be the coolest thing ever
- Final Fantasy VII Remake is getting re-titled (Final Fantasy VII: Midgar or somesuch) and it'll come out this year as the first of two episodes.
- Kingdom Hearts III DLC will look both really awesome and really weird
- Dragon Quest XI S will add something that will make me yell
- Avengers is going to be a game where you make your own Avenger and go on co-op missions with your friends
and Nintendo gets its own category because I love them and have too many wild predictions
- Animal Crossing will be a bit of a return to form, a definitive title for the series that'll live along with the Switch for the rest of the console's probably long life
- Star Fox teased
- Luigi's Mansion 3 will look sick as hell and feature some multiplayer of some kind, hopefully akin to that amazing minigame in Nintendo Land
- Yoshi's Island is the final Mario Maker 2 game type
- Erdrick/Loto for Smash
- Along with Dragon Quest XI S, Nintendo will be pushing Dragon Quest fairly hard and will bring I, II, and III to switch, with IV, V and VI to follow next year.
- Metroid 5 teased
- Mother Collection? (please)
- Nintendo finally has mercy on me and starts putting SNES games on their switch online service so we can escape NES hell
- Nintendo's big ending bombshell? Smaller, portable switch coming next year and along with it, a new F-Zero with an emphasis on large-scale multiplayer. 30 person races. It fucking slaps. It'll never happen.
Aaaaaand that's that! Excited to see what E3 holds and I'll see you all next week with some impressions on it I guess!!
