Hmmm. I'm a few episodes ahead and he's still pretty evil but people get him slid because of his googly eyes and dimples.😀 You'll see my reactions. 🙂

Hey, I like the way vamps die. It adds to the plot because they have to hide the bodies as in the case of Vicky.

Damon isn't really "evil", he just an ass. Sometimes his softer side shows up like it did in this episode.

Hello., Yes, I actually really enjoyed Vicky in this episode. I still think they could have handled the Jeremy/Vicky story better in the earlier episodes though. It's also cool that vampires have a choice as to whether they want to drink human blood or not. You'd want to be a vampire? Why? Witches get telekinesis, pyrokinesis, and I'm sure a whole bunch of other abilities. If you and I were battling, I'd send a fleet of stakes your way! hahah. You would have superspeed, so maybe that wouldn't work.

This is still a slow paced episode for this show. All of S1 is slow compared to the rest of the series. Damon is a sweet fluffy bunny, all sweet and soft and cuddly. I think Damon's one-liners are the reason he is such a popular character (that's the main reason I like him), he can be very funny. This plot with Vicki was to show what happens when a vampire turns and how they die. They had to show her addictions and relationship with Jeremy to she what effect it has when they turn. Emotions are heightened, as well as senses. Note she wanted to go to the bathroom, vampires in this show do use the bathroom. Explaining vampire biology is ongoing. Being a drug user meant Vicki had addiction issues which could spill over into vampirism. Her control over being a vampire would be limited due to her addictions. Personality traits become magnified. I doubt most vampires would voluntarily drink animal blood, it's like the idea of drinking sour milk. But you don't have to kill, as Damon suggested, snatch, eat, erase; as you've seen 1x8, you know some go with blood bags. Would I prefer to be a witch or vampire? In this show, if I had a daylight ring I would be a vampire. You can't be both. Now you know what happens when a vampire dies. They don't burn up, turn gooey or turn to ash like in some shows. You have to bury them like a normal body. The first book came out in 1991, so it was never a rip off of Buffy, and the Halloween party is based off the book version. There aren't many things the books and show have in common, but that is one of them. Great reaction, looking forward to the next one. Stay safe and healthy.
