The flourish of the skirt with heels is beautiful. It feels like a contrast to the aquarium date where Tess considered dressing up but didn't. Yay Tess being more confident and comfortable! Also feels very in character that Mira is getting ready shortly before the arrival time. ("When you visit a friend you're always meant to be late" feels very Mira :) ). Did she cook lunch before getting dressed? Or are they going to cook lunch together? I relate a lot to the "I'm not hoping for anything". It reminds me a lot of visiting my friend's place recently. I mean I kind of was hoping for something, I'm not sure what, but I wasn't going to take any action.
