Oh wow. Three things: - Mira finally breaking her usual façade is *fascinating*. Tess just charging into that breach was unexpected but extremely welcome. - is this... self-hate? She really doesn't seem to think she's a nice person. I'm really really hooked about how deep this goes. - and finally THAT MOMENT WHERE HER FACE HAS THIS HALO and Tess isn't fooled: I couldn't help but think, is this a constant characteristic of her lying? I WILL go over the rest of the story so far and try to see if it matches (I'm sure it does in the old Q&A notably where she clearly lies at some point and this happens too, but... is it a constant mark of her faking emotions?) and reveals other moments where she didn't say the truth and tried to smile it off that exact way. That'd be... deep.
