I have to say, I can't help but keep reading Tess as autistic-coded - notably as she has this vibe of "stick to external, well-known frameworks and rules and routines", as examplified here by the employee handbook thing (though there have been others)? It feels really... relatable? I don't know how intentional that is but: thank you for that :D
