An End of Year Letter

Hey all!

I want to thank everyone who has watched and shared the new video with Savy Writes Books and the Lady Ballers review. I wanted to take a moment and be honest about what comes next.

Since June, the channel has grown by leaps and bounds, and I've been struggling to find footing, including what I want to do and how. Gaming content on its own is being put on (temporary) hiatus, at least until the views can justify the time they take. But I'm also going to do less "quick" content like my edited Stream Highlight videos and reactions. 

Those takes and content I will leave for streams on YouTube and Twitch. But for the next two to three months I will be likely posting less because I'll be focusing more on BIGGER projects. 

I've spoken at length about the Spider-Man essay I've been working on. It's on the way to 12,000 words, which means it will likely be the longest essay I've done yet, and I'm hoping to use it to close out the year on a hopeful note. After that I have a longform essay on "The Jewish Question" and a deep dive into The Satanic Temple.  All of these will still be supported by odd videos here and there like a Top 10 GOTY 2023 video, but by and large I will be focusing on delivering the same thorough, in-depth, well cited and sourced content that I'm most proud of.

My Wolfenstein essay, along with my essays on Control, Jedi Fallen Order, and Dishonored, are some of my most vulnerable, authentic work. They are labors of love and are indicative of the level of quality and analysis I want to imbue all of my channel content with. And next year I want to blow the doors off with even more videos in that same style. 

There will be plenty of political content, debunking, and deep dives to come, but maybe not in the forms you expect. 

And my big ask here is for trust. I cannot ever properly convey the seismic gratitude I feel for everyone who has ever shared, liked, or commented on my work. I have watched my life change in the last year, and it still doesn't feel quite real. 

If you've enjoyed my work, I hope you stick around for the projects I have planned, and I hope you enjoy them. I don't know if this new plan to focus and deliver 1-2 deep, long videos every month will pan out. But it's only because of your support and help that I'm even in a position to consider such a step, so it's a risk I'm willing to take.
