The Mythseeker 🍀 Animatic Preview!
Added 2025-07-13 02:16:46 +0000 UTCHello Patrons, and happy weekend!
It’s kind of wild that we’re already halfway through July. Time... what even is time? My brain can never wrap around the concept.
I wanted to share something special just for y'all—an exclusive preview of something I’ve been working on: an animatic! You’ll find a short video, along with a few of my favorite frames pulled from it.
I have to keep most of the details under wraps for now—but I can say that it’s tied to an upcoming event: on August 10th, we’ll be debuting a 12-minute Mythseeker segment as part of “Beyond Bionicle” for 810NICLE Day. I’ll be sharing more details as we get closer, but this is a big step—a mix of introduction, story, visuals, and voices that brings The Mythseeker to life in a video format . Consider it the official debut; I hope it will be informative for those who wish to know more about the project!

This came together under some... intense circumstances. Between a 1,400-mile car trip in a weekend, adopting kittens, health stuff, and just… life, I had to pull a serious crunch to finish this in about four days. In that time, I managed to complete 30+ animatic frames, around 20 illustrations, write and record the script, and assemble the video. Definitely not ideal, but I’m proud of how it came out—and deeply thankful to the friends who helped with voice-overs, the overall video editing, and general support.
I am… le tired.😂
In some ways, life’s been going pretty well by my standards—though there’s been a lot happening in the world, and with friends, too. It's hard to balance, since I always want to help others or stay involved.
Despite health improvements, my body tends to get overloaded easily, and when that happens, it can leave me genuinely sick. I gotta take care of myself if I want to take care of others or this project!

I’ve been told I have a high pain threshold, but the truth is, my tolerance is extremely low. My executive dysfunction flares and my immune system plummets. It’s hard to explain—it's not exactly sensory overload, overworking fatigue, or muscle pain. With stuff like fibromyalgia (and it interacting with other conditions), the closest thing I can describe is it's a bit like getting hit with a bad flu. I mean, this can happen to anyone if you go through enough stress or related... it's not fun!
I usually need a few days in the dark and quiet to reset. Enforce self-care habits, do some thorough cleaning and organizing. A reset basically. But I haven’t had that kind of rest in a while... so, we're enforcing it now!
I also have some Patreon updates on the way:
A blog post for $3+ patrons
Exclusive sketches and WIPs for $5+
A concept art book (colored illustration stills), a .clip brush pack, and more for $12+
Improving and streamlining membership tiers, tags, and general organizing of the page
Thank you again for being here. Your support makes things like this possible!
