Hidden Cat Game Instructional Video

I like the idea of making this into a small game. I've made prototypes in Figma before, but I'm not sure this is robust enough a mechanic. Maybe if I get more feedback on what happens when other people try it it will give me more ideas

Glad you could flesh this out; feels like it would hit with fans of Codenames and with people who might like the *idea* of Pictionary a bit more than actually playing Pictionary. +2 on the art as well. The latest video especially benefited from the visuals given the length and density of the subject, but I eagerly await their further contributions to more regular nerdcore posts! to wit, I swear the “or, if you have dice, you can use those as well” conveyed like an actual Ben Wyatt Cones of Dunshire architect ass grin through the VO.. ..in which case, catch me with those endearing-if-creepy accounting firm guys bc I looked straight toward the set on my desk, haha. Also imagining a little sand timer for turns and chalk drawing tablet(s) or something for reuse+vibes. Especially if you wanted to mess with grid sizes or even shapes based on which die combos to use =) Though wondering if re-rolling the same square(s) would ever be a concern depending on layout? With an RNG it’s easier to just click through ig. If it ever conflicts with the novelty of physical re-rolls maybe some kind of “hash collision handling”-type house rules could be in order for expediency and game flow. Or as yet another aspect of the randomization to tweak and see if it impacts any strategy or how the image develops idk. Also the Codenames comparison is making me think of how the individual squares could be “scored” or “won” for the advisors. If the guesser has to pass some kind of judgement on which advisor’s drawings “feel” more real, it could be interesting to see what basis they use, how their initial judgements compare to those they have as the image develops (or fails to), if the intermediary judgements have any effect/inhibition on the ultimate one, or if there’s any correlation between score distribution and trustworthiness. Like maybe a guesser will eventually out a deceiver even after having awarded them more squares. Especially if score could affect the turn-taking the advisors do instead of straight back and forth. Some kinda analogue to: (win power in election) -> (crash economy) -> (opponent attempts clean-up) -> (too slow, win power again 👉😎👉) -> ??? Just initial thoughts, will have to actually try it out to have a better idea! This really does straddle the line between “game” and “thought experiment”. so cool thx
