The Last of Us Part II - Video + Update

Hello! Here's a close to done cut of the The Last of Us Part II video! All I gotta do is add the sound FX, mix the audio better, and add in the commission + shout out tier in the end.

The Last of Us Part II + Here's What's Up

To give a low down on the video if you haven't been keeping up, the video revolves around me neither gushing or condemning Part II outright, but it does lean more on the criticism side. And the criticism mainly revolves around the game's authorial intent of wanting to make the player feel guilty, but failing to make me feel guilty for some reason. And then I compare to other games that evoked similar feelings within me.  I think the script could be a bit tighter and a lot clearer  There was a LOT of trial and error with this video that delayed this thing more than I would've liked.

Learning a new workflow, trial and erroring my camera, lights, teleprompter, and software to see what worked right took longer than necessary. But overall, I feel like I've made a pretty decent foundation for myself.  In the long run, I feel like this new change will allow me to pump out videos quicker without working myself to death.  A great recent change that I've noticed that my wrist / hand didn't hurt at all during the making of this nearly 1 hour long video! I was previously unsure of what was causing my wrist pain since I do a lot of stuff with my hands, but it turns out it came from drawing a bunch!!

So while there have been a lot of behind the scenes changes and drastic aesthetic change going from purely motion graphics to mainly talking head stuff, I hope the general vibe / aesthetic of my older videos persists in this new format, whilst also offering something different and interesting. So I hope you guys enjoy it!

The Next Video - Edgar Wright Tier List

My next video is gonna tier list on Edgar Wright's catalogue of work, and I hope to get it out around the same time the new Scott Pilgrim Netflix show drops! And what was supposed to be a fairly small script ended up ballooning to a size I wasn't expecting.

With Wright being one my biggest influences (literally the guy that got me into movies) I should've realised this was gonna happen.

Thankfully with this new workflow, I ain't gonna be having to draw a bunch, so hopefully I can hit close to my deadline :)

Expect the commission style for this video to be mimicking the Scott Pilgrim style! So if you want that from me, be sure on the look out for when the next commission slots go live.
