BitMusical #11 Preview: The History of Nintendo ('24)

Hi everyone, thanks so much for those of you who joined in during the final BitMusical Live show! It was an emotional night for myself and I loved seeing everyone's comments during the show and afterward as I banged out the notes of this last set of songs. I've since gone in an timestamped everything, so if you missed it, you can check it out on YouTube here.

True to the announcement during that show, the next and final BitMusical song will be an updated version of The History of Nintendo from Brawl in the Family! Given that the original was over 12 years ago, there's some new history to cover and it felt right closing out with this. The song will be rerecorded/redrawn from scratch, and while much of it will be the same, there'll be new lines featuring the later systems. Plus, the infamous list-of-games-and-stuff bridge is almost entirely revised with all sorts of different things.

With one exception! The list of Nintendo legends in the middle ("Yamauchi, Miyamoto, Iwata, Sakurai, Sakamoto...") remains, along with a few other all-stars including some from the NOA branch. You can see them all lined up above, in a crowd scene that took me a good chunk of this week to draw!

Look forward to The History of Nintendo in December, as well as the upcoming Brawl in the Family book reprint + Dededoll Kickstarter!
