FULL Doodle Book Kickstarter Campaign & Launch Plans!

Hello Patrons! As always, I hope this message finds you each safe, healthy & doing well. I'm super excited to share all the FINAL details of my upcoming Kickstarter campaign for the Doodle Book launching:

NOON EST on MONDAY AUGUST 1ST, 2022 

As my biggest supporters, you guys are incredibly important to me and I wanted to ensure you all have the entire overview of everything as early as possible! Please note that I will be deleting all the previous posts here teasing this project as the information has been changing daily so I want to avoid any potential confusion. This will be the definitive post outlining everything! 

Firstly, I've attached 2 edited screenshots from the actual campaign so you can read everything well ahead of time, this will not change once the project goes live. Hopefully you have no issues scrolling through and reading everything- please let me know if that is NOT the case. Secondly, I attempted to do some editing with my intro video but it just wasn't working out the way I wanted so alas, it will have to stay in terms of the lighting. But I did make an update where I added some brief timelapse footage from Episode 1 of the DoodleStream. Here's a link to the newest version of the video- this will also go live on my YouTube channel at noon on the 1st to coincidence with the launch. 

As you'll read, I believe I have some really cool and compelling rewards and stretch goals for this campaign- but that remains to be seen if everyone else thinks so too! 😅 Of particular note are the exclusive items you'll see in the higher end stretch goals. I know folks have asked for more DoodleStream merch before and I really haven't been able to justify it financially so this is your chance! Lanyards, acrylic keychains, printed notebooks CAN BE POSSIBLE! If you've got any questions regarding any of the pledge tiers, stretch goals, or about how Kickstarter works in general- please just let me know! 

That being said, there are a couple things to keep in mind. Kickstarter will NOT CHARGE YOU until the campaign ends. Which will be at 7:00pm EST on Friday August 26th, 2022 (Timed to coincide with a DoodleStream episode). So if you know you'd like to support the project but need to wait for funds- don't worry! No money will be taken until that end date / time. Additionally, it's been backed by tons of data, that if a project can get fully funded within the first 24-72 hours, Kickstarter will absolutely push it more aggressively to casual browsers on the platform with their algorithms. Large numbers of early followers & swift funding shows there's huge interest and it's in their best interest to promote it. So if it's at all possible, please consider supporting right at launch if you know you're interested. I would appreciate it immensely! 🙏🧡

Who's printing this book? I am pleased to report that the Doodle Book will be published by the good people at Authocracy Studios! Yes, the same team that I'm working with presently on Grasslands (and maybe other stuff???) 😎 They have been hugely supportive of my work and have provided me with a ton of very helpful insight and counsel on this project. When will it be out? As soon as humanly possible! As you guys know, all the artwork is already done- so this is just about organizing things neatly within the page specs as well as writing up a few introductory pages and artist thoughts. I'll be working on this while the campaign is happening. We hope to have it around December to potentially make a nice Christmas gift. 

Once we go live on Kickstarter, my social media channels will go through the customary "take over" approach I've utilized on my last few big projects. The legendary Snarky Dog will take center stage as my profile image as I've designated him the official mascot of the DoodleStream (NO HORSES!😠) . The cover photos will showcase the book and the fact that the project is now live. The evening of the 1st, at 5PM I'll be hosting a LIVE Launch Party DoodleStream over on my Twitch channel! 

I'll be revisiting a few more of those older doodles that are in need of redemptions from past episodes as well as unveiling brand new, stream specific emotes! I've also added in 3 new video clips viewers can redeem and 2 new sounds alerts. In addition to the excitement of the launch and (hopefully!) watching the funding tally rise, we should be having a roaring good time with all the new bells & whistles. This is also a good time if anyone wishes to back and watch me react in real time. Don't lie- you know you do. 😁 Maybe by some miracle we can have the project fully funded by the time we end the stream that night!? Who knows...

Lastly, I have an email blast going out to all my mailing list recipients around noon on the 1st. And will obviously be promoting it, ad nauseum, across all social channels and Discord servers throughout the ~4 weeks. Sharing the project without your own social networks would really mean a lot to me so I hope you'll consider doing so as well. 

OK- That's it! This has been a fun project to plan yet deceptively work intensive behind the scenes. Thank you all again so much for supporting me and for all your previous feedback and input on the various teasers and sneak peeks. It's all been super valuable and incorporated wherever possible.
