Fair point on my criticism for demon slayer. Im sure part of that is just my own bias toward one or the other haha my hero i think has incredibly interesting character development for Deku. Why MHA obviously has their own bit thats they lean in to throughout the series (Minetta being horny, Bakugo being an asshole, etc.), I find them much less intrusive than those in demon slayer. Zeni is close to Shinji as one of the most annoying characters I've ever experienced in anime. Also granted, my opinion is a little muddled because I couldnt even finish season 1 of demon slayer. I just feel like there was more interesting plot hooks in MHA than in Demon Slayer. As for SAO, I firmly believe that while I would've enjoyed watching the entire progression to the top of Aincrad in season one, I feel like it would be difficult to keep people's attention for so long. There's always a slice of life or beach episode or whatever in a lot of shonen, so I kind of figured the cabin episode raising the kid was kind of that: a reprieve from the dark world before continuing. Yes, Sinnon having a crush on her adoptive brother is weird... but also, japan is just kind of into that shit haha that being said, I just kind of enjoyed how different Alfheim was to Aincrad, and then how different Gun Gale was. Alfheim I felt had more potentially personal stakes, and then Gun Gale was fun seeing Kirito start from level 0. Then there was Alicization. I firmly believe that there was so much hate, that people didnt even watch the best season. Alicization was so different and interesting and I think it was hurt by the hatred of the earlier seasons. It deserves to be watched.
