As I said previously, this episode was not quite what I was expecting in a very good way. I have a lot of thoughts on this episode, so buckle up because I had a 9-hour drive home to think about this episode as well as a rewatch. Question time: 1. Oh boy are the cracks showing. There is a whole lot of non-communication going here as well as hurt feelings. I think Jame’s plan may have started the fracture; however, the Park/Diaz’s are doing the rest of the destruction on their own. Sometimes that is all it takes……one small well-placed fracture to cause a family’s downfall. 2. Since he doesn’t remember the night they just shared just the leftover emotion…I’m not sure. Steph doesn’t deal with his emotions well 3. Conflict with a parent at this age is not unusual. Acting out/rebelling is also normal, unfortunately, this can cause disruption within the home and with relationships. Steph is struggling to find himself because who he thought he was no longer enough. He truly grappling with the change within himself. 4. all three to be honest. 5. I don’t think it's too late yet because it looks like Ashley is starting to notice things are not quite right with the family. Everyone is doing what they did in season 5 when Ashley lost her memories…..getting lost in their own worlds to cope with fractures within the family. Stephano: Baby boy is so lost! His inability to deal with his emotions or even to express them is troublesome…..again!!! Even in this episode Steph only expressed his feelings to a point. He never really addressed his feelings about Kim, his anger, disappointment and his confusion where she is concerned. The feeling he talked about was his anger at Sebastian's lack of trust in him. What was shown is how much Kim and Steph are alike, especially when it comes to dealing with their feelings. I really do think the best thing to happen to Steph this season is breaking up with Nevaeh because he can no longer hide behind her and his feelings for her. Not to mention he is with someone who doesn’t allow him to hide too much. Also, I think Steph is afraid to let his feelings grow for Tatianna out of fear of being hurt and let down. Kim: So interesting that as her memories started to come back her first ones were of Stephano. Her sub-conscience must have really gotten to her about how she has treated Steph. But what I liked is that Kim was unapologetically Kim, and that didn’t change while she was interacting with Stephano. Kim and Steph both have some sarcastic sense of humor and a bluntness that cuts through all the BS and gets right down to it. It was nice to see Kim have some motherly instinct again where Steph is concerned. Sebastian: Uhmmmm, I think Sebastian needs a visit from Kim! Seb needs Kim more now than he needs Ashley because he needs someone who is not afraid to call him out and remind him who HE is! I know his mother could do it but not sure how receptive Seb would be to her. Kim, on the other hand, has a way of getting under Sebastian's skin and waking him up. Right now, Seb needs to wake up!! His family is at stake; he is too busy worrying about danger on the outside that he is missing the fractures that are going on inside. Amelia and Connor: Yeah, Connor hasn't dropped the case and Amelia is going to be pissed when she finds out. HOWEVER, I have a bone to pick with Miss Amelia….she wants Connor to walk the straight and honest life….except when it comes to HER family, then she wants him to do whatever it takes to protect them! Well, what about Connor and what it could cost him to protect HER family? Does Amelia know about the difficulty Connor has had fitting in at the police station? Does she know about will and Vanessa? Has Conner even told her about any of these things? Or maybe just maybe there is a reason why Connor can’t or hasn’t dropped the case. Connor has tried to talk to both Amelia and Sebastian, and neither are really wanting to hear what he has to say. This will come to a head, and Amelia and Connor are going to go at it. Ladies, I know I am probably the only one asking for another episode of the Rookie but there are some many dangling threads from that series that pertain or could affect Connor/Amelia’s and 16’s storyline that I keep asking questions about these dangling threads. Apologies for sounding like a broken record but would love either another episode of the Rookie or a Connor/Amelia story special to clear up some of these threads up and really get a good feel for where Connor and Amelia are at in their relationship. Good job ladies…..BRAVA!!

I think Steph needed that as well and even though he wouldn’t remember it , I believe he will overall feel a little lighter because he was able talk about his feelings with someone who was neutral

2025-10-27 03:25:33 +0000 UTCI really loved this episode! It was the right pace of everything and watching Steph and Kim bond just made my heart melt!!! Like urghhhh! I know Kim really hurt Steph but I genuinely get her (sometimes) like if you know you have nothing good to offer, it's best to stay away. I honestly really love Kim; she's such a complex character and I appreciate the complexity cause it shows how we as humans are just as complex. I'd try to keep my answers brief😅 1. Of course not, Sebastian is fighting for his life with aging/tiredness, Ashley is going through postpartum AND still running her dad's company, Bella and Steph are quite literally fighting (they seem to be the closest sibling wise; too cute!), Amelia thinks Connor dropped the case while Steph knows he DIDN'T, and Mateo is just cruising (per usual). Yeah the house is definitely divided! James plans may not be the sole reason but it sure is the catalyst! I just wonder how Amelia will react when she finds out that Connor didn't drop the case, like I just know she will be sick. 2. My heart was melting the ENTIRE TIME they hung out! They honestly get each other! Steph is a sweet guy but he doesn't deal with sentiments/emotions so well. Seeing him with Kim just made him make so much sense! He gets his empathy from Seb for sure but that non chalance that Kim has was definitely passed down to him as well! I think that reunion healed a part of Steph that he didn't know needed healing. He's been so mad at the world for how his life turned out but him seeing (or dreaming) Kim made an effort will definitely change something in him. It was just too sweet to watch! And Kim laughing at Seb's life falling apart is just so on character for her. I love how she didn't apologize necessarily but still explained why she's been a distant mom. You got to respect the honesty fr! 3. I honestly get it!!! As a daddy's girl, I've always been scared sometimes to really lean into what I want and my pleasures cause sometimes I don't want to annoy my parents; particularly my dad. So I grew up being more agreeable, getting good grades and generally just trying to make them happy... But one thing I learned in my late teenage years and my young adult life is that you HAVE TO LIVE LIFE FOR YOURSELF! You need to figure things out for yourself, yes our parents want the best for us but they are STILL flawed human beings at their core! They will make mistakes and have errors in judgement so don't be afraid to lean into your own essence and who you're supposed to be. Seb has been an amazing father no lie, but the way he's lived his life has caused serious damage to his son... Two things can exist at once. 4. It was everything that it needed to be!!! It was so meaningful, magical and a bit sad at the end when she wiped his memory...I really do hope she comes around more but I can see why it may not be the brightest idea! A part of me feels good knowing she's in the background cause I KNOW she will protect them when James tries his rubbish. It's so nice to see the female characters be essential to the power moves coming in the finale of the show. Kim, Ashley, Bianca, Amelia and Bella have huge roles to play in how Sebastian will be saved, I just feel it! Their roles are becoming more pronounced and I'm loving how subtly it's happening through the episodes. 5. Yeah I think this is just a phase tbh, just as every family goes through phases, I believe in the end these stressors are temporary and with a couple conversations between some family members, all will be right again with the world. My only issue is...I just dunno what Connor's MO is fr cause the way he's handling this case could make or break things. Also, Alex foreshadowing a death and saying Steph will have to pick a path??? Hmmm very interesting, I FEEL it's going to be the puberty episode and Steph will LITERALLY have a flashback once said person dies... Makes me sad cause I feel he'd feel guilty for not taking it seriously when he heard it. Side note: I really pray that Tatianna addresses the fact that Steph is closed off during the dance, she really needs to break into what's going on in his mind if they're ever going to have the chance of building something real. Overall, really good episode and can't wait to see how things play out in puberty and even Kade's story.

Won’t be able to answer questions until I get back home. I will say I really liked this episode, it was not what I was expecting….in a very good way ❤️. I find it interesting that Kim chose to reveal herself to Stephano first. The reading Alex gave Steph is making me rethink my death list. The Diaz family is drifting apart, this happens when people stop communicating. Amelia pressuring Connor to drop the case is going to cause problems cause I don’t think he has. Would love to Kim do this with others like Sebastian, Rachel and Valerie, ugh I have so many thoughts but no time to put it all down. Well done ladies…Bravo
