Through-Motor Cycloidal Drive

Here's next week's video earthly for Patrons.

I want to built some bigger robots this year so this video is about some larger cycloidal drive experiments.  The original idea probably wasn't that sensible, but the end result is going to be quite useful, and not too expensive.

Yes that motor sticking out isn't great, this is probably for robot arms or legs which won't do a 360' though. The only other choice is having it stick out the back a long way.

as always amazing work. I love seeing your very creative ideas and watching you problem solve. The length of the motor sticking out looks like it could easily be a problem, if you ever fail to stop the motor in time the lever is going to strike the motor and applying up to 2000Kg/cm to the motor is going to rip the drive apart.

Yes the motor holder would be stronger so the belt doesn't skip, but the belt will probably still stretch under high load anyway, maybe all metal with a chain drive ;-)

Nice work :) I like how you break it down and explain your testing/math. Do you think this would be stronger made out of aluminium or even steel?
