Week 69 (nice!) & 70

Remember all of the times I tell you that there wouldn't be anything interesting to say in daily breakdown? Well, it's true again this time, but I kept proper notes on what I'm doing so you're still going to have to suffer through it cuz I already did the work. :D
I probably wont have a daily breakdown in the next standup.

TL;DR:
Things I got done over the last two weeks: Dev plan, dev plan, dev plan. Also a bit of work on a testing framework, a h-scene framework, and celebrating St John's Day.
Things I want to get next: Dev plan, dev plan, dev plan, alongside occasional programming stuff that helps me keep a bit saner.

Week 69
Monday - Day off
Tuesday & Wednesday - I got the proof-of-concept for my pure-Renpy testing framework done. It's not entirely useful yet (it can only play part of the intro), but it is clearly superior to my previous Sikuli testing framework. I should make a longer dev-blog-like post about testing and Princess Tower - I find working on automated testing very relaxing.
Thursday & Friday - Dev plan: I kept reading through PT, putting together througlines and story beats and now began to look at them in isolation - ie. all of the options of how they might flow into one another.
Saturday - Day off
Sunday - I started putting together the collected throughlines & story beats, but I kind of quickly got stuck on figuring out the major gameplay revisions I might make.
Week 70
Monday & Tuesday - Days off
Wednesday - I got started on a new h-scene framework. I got it nearly done, but then ran into some weird bugs that I couldn't quite figure out.
Thursday & Friday - Extra days off to celebrate St. John's Day - one of the only two holidays I take days off for, alongside Christmas.
Saturday - Spent the entire day chasing that bug I caught on Wednesday. Turns out there was a line of Renpy script that should never have worked, but somehow did until I updated my Renpy version, after which Renpy threw an error at⦠a completely different part of the code for some reason.
Sunday - Trying to organize a basic outline of the story if I decide to change infractions into a currency Ari earns but wants to get rid of, along with a host of changes that would accompany that one.

There's a massive heat wave going on, I don't have AC, and I absolutely cannot handle hot weather, so I'm just trying to hang in there for a while. Doesn't seem like the heat wave is going to let up this week, either.
I hope your week is as nice as the feeling of the 1,5L bottle I use as an ice pack. :)
