As much as I think APPTV has the potential to become an excellent novel or series of novels, I think allowing it to follow the web series format is a good idea. The web series approach allows you to develop the characters, plotlines, and world in a less demanding way than the other, and if/when you later decide to adapt it to the novel format for publishing, you'll not only have a great deal of work already figured out, but a dedicated audience excited to get their hands on the finished product. It may even make the process of finding an agent and publisher a great deal easier when you decide to. You could essentially see the web series as a useful part of the development process.
