Monica and Tess seem like good friends. Because they are. This is the one situation where two women of present, but different levels of sapphic-ness are actually just good friends.
This is another one where I feel as though parts still need a lot of work, specifically the conflict's resolution. I'm not sure if I described what the lesson the two of them take away from this is clearly, or if I did, if I worded it in a way that's effective, or meshes with the earlier chapters. In any case, I'd appreciate your feedback.
