Unpleasant Update

No time at the moment to dick around, so I'll get straight to it. A recent health crisis within my family (nothing imminently life-threatening, thankfully) has dramatically altered my day-to-day situation. For the short to medium term I am going to be a primary caregiver, a role which will leave me with far less time for side projects like this. As such, I doubt I will be able to get much writing done in the next couple of weeks. While I hope I can find at least a little time, I won't be nearly productive enough to justify charging for the month as normal. Instead, I plan to do something like I did with December. Either I'll suspend the account for a month (I'm not 100% sure what this entails) or I'll just go through on the first of next month and do a blanket refund for all active patrons for the month of April.

As of right now I have no intention of fully shutting down the Mouse King project (There's a lot of stuff that I've invested quite a bit of time in and would want to get completed and released before I even considered that, plus I have a commission I've committed to write), but I don't know for sure when I'll be able to start up full production again. The current plan is essentially to take a pass on the rest of April and then assess where I'm at and what my commitments look like next month. At that point I may have to take a little more time, I may resume operation at a lower rate (and drop monthly patron rates accordingly), or I may pick back up right where I left off. It's impossible to say what things will look like come May.

For now, I think that's about all I've got. There is one more 1500 word or so short that I had just about wrapped up when things went crazy, I'm gonna see if I can't find an hour or two to get that wrapped up and released in the next few days, but other than that I'll probably be quiet til next month. Just wanted to let everyone know why I haven't been active and reassure patrons that you won't be charged (or technically that you'll probably be refunded) for the period where I'm inactive.
