Weekly Report #033

Come one, come all, to the latest weekly report. I am in quite good spirts at the moment as the last week has been shockingly productive despite the last family obligations of the 23-24 holiday season. In total, I got nearly all of the first sack short completed and quite the head start on a new project for which inspiration struck as I hit a minor snag with 'Sack'.

Basically, Monday through Wednesday I spent powering through the proofing stage for Sack 1. Monday went spectacularly, the other days were more solid but on the whole I got everything written up until that point release ready. Then, when I tried to write out plugs for the two remaining holes, I hit a bit of a wall. Just wasn't going anywhere, wasn't feeling the NCR stuff, and an hour later I had one new paragraph. Felt the same when I sat down next, so I decided to start in on the rough draft of Gold Star, just to refresh my palette a bit with some consensual stuff, and I instantly hit a groove. Next thing I know it's the end of the week and I've got three very solid days of first stage writing complete with excellent results. Not to worry, though, as this morning I went back to Sack 1 and got everything that was left written up. Shouldn't take more than a day, day and a half for stages 2 and 3, then I'll be able to get that out to everyone.

After Sack 1, the road ahead is becoming clearer. The next phase will consist of me trying to finally whip Artemis into shape (while tinkering with Gold Star when I need more of a feel-good consensual break). That I'm estimating at 2-3 weeks, depending on what percent of my focus I'm able to force into the Artemis story. Once it's finished/out as well, I'm pretty sure I'll have enough of the 'in the works' stuff cleared out that I'm finally ready to start the actress commission I've been delaying provided it's commissioner is ready to go ahead. I'll work on it in tandem with Gold Star (that'll probably be the focus of late January/February), and Domestication 5 will probably try and fight its way in there as well (provided I can come up with answers to a few key questions by that point).

None of that, however, leaves much room for patron input. That's not ideal. But, I think I have a solution. As that's a lot of modern/real world stuff and I'm looking to lean more into shorts, I imagine I'll try to slip in another 'Sack' short along the way. So, as soon as I'm done here, I'm going to do three things. 1. Put up a post for all patrons to see which lays out the various scenes I have planned and inviting you lot to propose additional ones. 2. Put up a poll for all loyalist and radical tier supporters to vote on which of the scenes come next (a few will need to be at least a bit later in the sequence, but most will be options right away. And 3. Invite radical tier supporters (via direct message/poll) to participate in designing the characters/potentially other specifics of whichever short gets chosen (naturally this one won't be immediately after I'm done here, as it has to come after the poll of which short comes next).

Anyway, that's all that, so now let's see what all got done last week...

In total, that's something like 8.5K of proofing and 6.5K of writing, a total which gives me an excellent 15K head start on January. And my first session today was strong as well.

In all, an excellent week. I should be in touch pretty frequently over the next week, including again in just a little bit. So keep an eye out.
