Monthly Report -- November

So, this is kinda more of a 'report part one' since November and December are being merged, so I won't go into quite as much detail on upcoming plans and all as I usually would. Suffice to say, November went more or less as I anticipated.

Taking the first week or so off to recharge, plenty of expected family/friend commitments around Thanksgiving, and some less expected tech issues with my main computer kept me to something like 20K words on the month. Somne of that was scattered to a handful of shorts, but for the most part it was spent working on the extroardinarily stubborn final scene of the Artemis story and the Locker Room short(ish) which emerged as the story I was able to gain the most traction on.

The Artemis story remains more or less where it's been. I'm chipping away on what's left, but it's slow going. The Locker room story, on the other hand, I was able to breeze through fairly quickly on the days I had a chance to write. Today I got a great head start on December by wrapping up the initial writing stage with the last 2.5-3K words of it. It sits at something like 8-10K on first draft as I recall (I'm typing this on my old backup computer due to the aforementioned tech issues so I'm not 100% sure at this moment) and I anticipate it coming out at something like 12K after the revisions (Which I'll be trying a different methodology that should come out quicker.

For december, I should have abundant free time the rest of this week and the two after, then my chances to write will get a bit inconsistent around Christmas.A great start today and that opening stretch, though, makes me pretty confident I'll be able to hit the 50K minimum goal for November/December without too much trouble. I'll be trying to get Artemis and the Locker room out, but exactly what comes after them is a bit up in the air at the moment. I'll probably have a better idea when I do the next weekend report. (That probably won't be in two days because that'd feel a little pointless after this and be 30-45 minutes I could spend writing instead.

Oh, and I've started doing the refunds for December as promised. Patreon says they may take 5-7 days to process so I'm not sure exactly what that will look like on the patron end or how quick it will show up for you, but I'm going to do everything I can to make sure I keep on top of that and get them started every evening so nobody's left in limbo. (Unfortunately I don't see any way to do it ahead of time/automatically so it'll have to be manual and there may be occasional nights where I am too tired/busy and it takes an extra day.)

I think that's all for tonight. I'll check in with you all soon and hopefully have both of the new stories released by mid month. I'm feeling good about the next few weeks after how well today went.
