A little update on the RaQ

Earlier this year, we did a 3-part video series where we brought our Cobalt RaQ 3 web server back to life.  That video series is really where our Youtube channel broke out and started to get lots of views and attention.

It has now been 4 months since our RaQ 3 has been online, and it continues to serve web traffic 24x7.  Despite a HUGE initial shockwave of hacking, spamming, and DDoS attacks, we have managed to keep it running and operating well.  In addition to hosting the premiere http://raq.serialport.org website, it now has dozens of user accounts for our Patreon supporters, which makes the effort seem even more worthwhile.

Just in the last week, there have been roughly 100 new entries in the classic cgi-bin guestbook!

Here are a few recent entries:

"I remember the days when the web was new and full of promise, with only the most curious and forward-looking segment of the population connected. Those were the days!"

"I miss Raq! First web server that I used for my hosting company!"

"May The Serial Port's Cobalt RaQ be a long-standing monument to the explosive growth of the internet."

Thanks for your support, and welcome to our new Patrons!

I've got a Qube too, but no power supply for it, so it's a great item for the zoom background next to the G4 Cube, which I do need to power on.... hmmmm.

oh nice, the Qube looks ideal for LAN use!

The Serial Port

I have a Cobalt Qube that I should get back on the air... not as robust as your RaQ, but the more legit Cobalts online, the better :) Keep up the fabulous work!
