SCAR Animation Patcher (for MCO movesets) [Updated]
Added 2022-04-15 20:43:17 +0000 UTCFor:
Users of the mod SCAR
Animators who want to add out of the box SCAR support for their animations.
Patching does not mean the animations will have SCAR as a hard requirement from then on, patches ensure they work with SCAR if the mod is active and otherwise does nothing if SCAR isn't active. So even if you remove SCAR you can still continue to use the same patched animations.
Requires:
.Net5 Runtime (.Net Desktop Runtime)
Havok Tools(x64 2010.2.0)
hkanno64
Instructions:
(moveset = a single set of MCO animations, usually in one folder. Mods like Elder Souls have multiple movesets for multiple weapon types.)
1. Extract the contents to a folder of your choice.
2. Run the .exe.
3. Select the folder where hkanno64 is installed and select the folder of the moveset you want to convert.
4. Click "Run Patcher"
5. Wait until patcher returns complete.
6. Done.
Select another moveset folder and run patcher again if you have more movesets to convert. If you're done with converting all the movesets, close out of the patcher.
Difference Between This and Previous Versions:
This one has a user interface and file path selection windows for easier and simpler use. It also writes debug info to the log file so that if there are any problems I can find the issue quickly and efficiently. Otherwise the core function is still the same, so you don't have to re-patch any already patched animations.
Troubleshooting:
If there is a message in cmd that says: Warning : Couldn't load DLL (....), that is entirely normal and doesn't get in the way of the patcher or hkanno64 working at all.
If there is a message that says something like "Key not found", reinstall Havok Content Tools and hkanno64, there is a missing file preventing hkanno64 from dumping the animations.
Comments
Maybe I ddin't get at all how it works. But for the moveset, I just have to select the file in CutomConditions? like for example a file named "8000001" for one moveset ? Because i got an error saying "Input string was not in a correct format", as i'm a noob in all of this. Here I am.

2022-04-16 16:05:26 +0000 UTCIf the patcher finishes without throwing any exceptions it should be fine. But if you could message me with the log file (SCARPatcher.log in the same folder as hkanno) or the contents of it just to make sure? EDIT: If anyone gets this error please reinstall havok tools and hkanno, and make sure your antivirus is not deleting files.
