2026-03-07 07:30:02 +0000 UTCI am going to say this for clarification only not a spoiler I promise: armin was bluffing. the female didnt pause when armin said jean's name it paused when he said "suicidal bastard". there is someone with said nickname; eren (not a spoiler eren is refered to by this specific nickname). Armin already concluded that that is the female titan's target. armin bluffed to throw off the female titan and pause its attack on jean. armin is very smart and strategic and im very excited for you to see more of his strategies

We see the female titan prepare to crush him, then we cut to a different angle, and see blood coming from some source. So for example, it could also be coming from Reiner taking his blade out and cutting into her hand, before she manages to crush him. Plus I think there's a general level of suspension of disbelief with this kind of animation. Just think back to Armin almost getting swallowed in 1x05, logically speaking it's pretty unbelievable - solely to make the scene feel more dramatic, not necessarily to imply some hidden element. Also, steam comes from any titan that's injured. It's coming from her hand because it was injured, and we've seen humans steaming too after they were in the proximity of injured titans (their blood steams, if their blood gets on you, it will look like you're steaming). PS. I'm also not saying whether you are right or wrong, just giving an alternate explanation that IMO is equally plausible (it's the interpretation I went with when I first saw it)

2026-02-08 05:57:06 +0000 UTCtitans/their blood/body parts steam away when injured. thats why there was "smoke" when sonny and bean were killed. the female tiitans fingers were steaming and the blood got on reiner, which steamed too. also suicidal bastard is referring to eren, armin is bluffing to trick the female titan.
