Did you catch that Franz had no legs? In the wide shot, you see his arms and head and torso, but beyond where his girlfriend is kneeling, his legs are conspicously absent... In the manga they make it clearer that she hauled the upper half of his corpse all the way back, and keeps trying to resuscitate him despite his spilling entrails. That's why Armin isn't just emotionally upset to see her doing it, but deeply disturbed.
