2nd butterfly WIP 🦋

Today is the last day I'm working on these personal projects for a while - i decided to make a giant swallowtail because this was also a butterfly i could make with pictures i took from my own garden. She's still not done since i dont have the materials for the antennae yet! (The ones in the last photo were old pipe cleaners i had that are all twisted up!) But I'll pick work back up on this project in a while! I'll be applying these butterflies to an art show run by a local native gardening chapter. (Modified pattern from nazFX!)
next week I'll be resuming work on the whale shark pattern reward for february including refining the paper pattern, taking "pretty" photos for sharing, taking photos for the instructions, and writing the instructions! After that I'll be starting the cat in a box pattern for March's pattern reward!

Like the Madagascar sunset moth (a day flying moth), the elephant hawkmoth (which looks like a hummingbird when flying) and my person favorite, the cecropia! Its the largest silk moth out there and I just love the colors!
